Okay I have finished my 2nd fitness test and here are my results:
1St Test 2nd Test
Switch Kick's 53 62
Power jacks 48 56
Power knees 83 90
Power Jumps 28 35
Square Jumps 7 10
Suicide Jumps 16 19
Push up jacks 15 26
Plank 38 43
I certainly have gotten stronger and use to the moves, which I think makes a world of differnece. The first fitness test i am glad I was by myself because I must have looked very uncoordinated. I will keep it up the best I can and work on my blogging skills as well. I am so glad to see everyone participating!!
But you know we are all INSANE!!!!

The Heisman
I propose that we all post video of ourselves doing the Heisman move. I crack up every time I'm trying to do it imagining how ridiculous I must look and thinking the rest of you must look pretty silly too.

Had an Off Week
I had a bit of an off week as I was busy with work. The spare time I had I used to go biking rather than Insanity. Winter is coming on fast and I'm trying to get in as much riding as possible before the trails are under snow. I plan to get back on Insanity this week and will update on my progress.
If you do post to the blog, make sure to leave your name so we know who posted. The last post has no name but signed off with "Peace Out" so I assume it must be Kellee who picked up that language from her daughter :)

Week 2 Almost Done!
So staying steady. The biggest difference so far for me is my balance. Wow! Was it off...I had to hold on to the wall the first week to keep one leg off the ground but this has really improved. I have kept up with some modifications just like Des, I definitely modify the plank work. I have lost 3 pounds and back in most of my regular jeans, probably due to way less swelling, but whatever works.....
Peace out!
Peace out!

We've had a bit of an off week - I was at a work retreat Thursday and Friday and Taylor has been at grief camp since Friday - gets home tonight. So..... we've only done insanity twice this week. Plan to do disk 3 tonight and then back on track. About those push ups - prior to my foot injury I did quite the modifications with those - I think they're the hardest part of insanity. Chuck - how are your knees?

week one down!
Wasn't sure I would make it to a day of rest but here I am! Was very sore the first few days but once I hit cardio recovery this went away. Still struggle with the push ups but otherwise seems good. Dig Deeper!!!

I got a sore BUTT and I cannot lie!
Yes, my butt is sore....in a good way.
Just a little FYI -
I have logged into Livestrong.com and found a calorie counting site that you can track your daily meals and determine you average calorie intake for the day. Also, it will calculate (based on age, weight, etc.) what your caloric intake should be to either maintain or lose weight. If your goal is to lose weight, it will indicate the calories not to exceed to achieve a specified loss in pounds/week.
I determined that I needed to consume 2700 calories per day to lose 2 lbs per week. However, for the past three weeks I have consumed less than 2000 calories per day and have lost over 12 lbs....this was done prior to Insanity or any other exercise.
Check out the website and see what your calories should be. After tracking your calories for a few weeks you will begin to learn the calorie content of the majority of the foods you consume. With that knowledge you can easily determine what to eat to maintain your goal. I've never really dieted but this was very simple.
